Push The Reset Button

Do this anytime you make a mistake or want to start over:

Stop, take moment to breathe deeply, and imagine yourself pushing a giant "RESET" button.

This visual image will help you release what you've done and move forward.

You can't do it over but you can to it right the next time. In real life as with our weight loss goals, we have good days and bad days... good meals and bad meals... good months and bad months.

No matter where you are, where you were ... or how long you have been off track, you can always hit the reset button. Remember this analogy: "You don't drown by falling in the water -- you drown by staying there."

You Are The Author

Your life is like a book or a story where you are the author. What happened yesterday, a month ago, years ago ... what happened 5 minutes ago or seconds ago ... it's all written in permanent ink. That can be hard to deal with (have you ever dwelt on your mistakes? wished things had been different? felt discouraged?)

The solution? All you have to do is turn the page and start writing a new life! You are the author and what happens next is up to you. You get a second chance to start all over each and every day. Each and every moment. What a wonderful gift! Every day is literally the first day of the rest of your life ... how will you write it?

Tomorrow is yet to be. Tomorrow is always a new day. The rest of today hasn't even happened yet.

You have the power to literally create new experiences ... right now. What do you want?

Start Fresh - Start Where You Are Now

Start each and every day fresh. Start every moment fresh. Start every day like it's the first day of your diet.

Any slip-ups from yesterday have to be forgotten -- don't build upon them.

Don't worry about where you WERE. or where you COULD BE. Congratulate yourself on what you decide to do right NOW.

Related Tip: It may be helpful to avoid worrying about the total number of pounds you need to lose and avoid setting a specific weight goal. Instead, take it one day at a time. Because you can't really control how fast you lose. The only thing you can change is your behavior (what you DO) and those actions will naturally result in losing weight.
